Wood Steel and Glass Staircases

The marriage of wood, glass and steel has always lent itself to a more open and airy look and feel. Not only does this stair accomplish this with the transparent properties of glass but also by making the stair an open riser. If you will take notice under the stairway; the carpet does not wrap all the way around the tread. We have implemented wood panels to stop the carpet slightly after it rounds the edge of the tread to give the stair underside a more elegant look instead of having a clump of carpet wrap around the tread. It also makes the stair become more of a piece of furniture enhancing the room rather than just a way to get upstairs.
